Trail Rides:We offer 1 hour, 1 ½ hour and 2 hour rides. Whether you want to ride for a short duration or longer, the views you will take in are the best in the valley. We ride through open meadows, desert-like sagebrush, and beautiful quaking aspens, up and down hills and mountains. Wild flowers and wildlife are also typical views along the ride. One thing is for sure, if you want to see more than the horses tail in front of you, Big Rack Horseback Adventures is the place to come to! Cattle Drives:"Move Them Doggies!" Cattle Drives are a lot of fun for those who desire more action than a scenic trail ride. The Overlook Ranch is a real working ranch and we do have to push cattle from one range to other locations on the ranch. This is your opportunity to become a cowboy or cowgirl for the day and enjoy an experience of a lifetime. Cattle Drives are about 2 hours in length- sometimes a bit longer. After the work is done we finish up with a finger lickin good ranch breakfast or supper. Cattle Drives without a meal are also available. Pony Rides:For the very little children we offer a "Pony Ride". This is a short ride on a full size Quarter Horse in the grassy garden area in front of our rustic office. This is the perfect photo opportunity for parents and grand parents. Hay Wagon Dinner Ride:For those who would rather enjoy the ranch from off the horses back, this is for you! Enjoy a peaceful ride in a wagon pulled by two beautiful draft horses. The ride will take you from the ranch up a mountain draw to a rustic dinner cabin where you will enjoy the peace and quiet nature has to offer as well as some of the best cooked food in the valley. After completing dinner, the horse drawn wagon will bring you back down to the ranch. Sunset Dinner Ride:This is a 1-½ hour long horseback ride on our spectacular ranch. A scenic trail ride that will bring you to our rustic dinner cabin where you will enjoy a delicious dinner. After completing dinner its time to mount back up on your horse for a gorgeous Sunset ride down to the ranch. |
